That’s why we’re on the look out to add a Configuration Engineer to our elite workforce.

This role will have primary responsibility for the configuration management process and tools across the NATO JEWCS programme. The successful candidate will support the change management process, via the Change Control Board, and will ideally have good industry best practice knowledge of appropriate processes and tools. This role will also support the creation of data repositories and change workflows across the project.

This role will be based at our headquarters in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support for new tools and process across a multi-site business (exploiting a PDM/PLM system where possible)
  • Able to run the Change Control Board if required
  • Governance and control of the multi-site PDM/PLM system
  • Maintenance and development of the PDM/PLM system
  • Continuous improvement of change management process
  • Set up of project databases and structures as required
  • Support to the generation of metricsSupport the establishment of baseline declarations
  • Support to Functional and Physical Configuration Audits
  • Management of document repositories and libraries
  • Review of supplier configuration management plans & support supplier config audits.
  • Review & Sign off, of engineering artefacts, proactively lead changes and document management in adherence with company processes and customer requirements.
  • Attend and support Internal & External design reviews with regard to configuration and good governance

Key skills and qualifications

  • Deep understanding of industry best practise of change management
  • Knowledge of PDM/PLM and CM tools
  • Experience of running a business wide change control board
  • Experience of data control in both design and manufacturing environments
  • CI selection process
  • An understanding of project lifecycles and lifecycle models
