We are looking for a Service Support Engineer to join our team. 

As a Service Support Engineer you will deliver sales support service to customers and end users of Chelton's products and systems. These include military vehicle intercom systems, counter-IED detection systems and airborne communications equipment. You will also work on determining where our world class communication systems can be fitted to military vehicles as well as supporting the safe operation of our anti mining equipment, which helps communities across the globe make their land safe. 

You will be responsible for investigating customer problems, co-ordinating resources to assist resolution and feedback on issues identified. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual from a military background with familiarity of military communication systems to work for us. Whilst we appreciate you might not have all the technical knowledge and experience, if you are an expert problem solver, we will provide you with the necessary training and knowledge to ensure you succeed in this role. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customer base.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with key customers.
  • Support the survey, integration, installation and commissioning of new communications equipment within military vehicles
  • Maintain operational knowledge of product base.

Person Specification

  • Practical skills in electronics.
  • Familiarity with digital and analogue communications systems.
  • An expert problem solver.
  • Ability to communicate technical information.

Whilst not essential, it would be advantageous if you had

  • An understanding of military communications
  • Knowledge of military vehicle electrical systems
  • Knowledge of basic RF and data communication systems
