As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be expected to work closely with the Operational Procurement Manager, expediting daily procurement activities. 

The right candidate will ideally have previous Expeditor, procurement or office administration experience.

This role will be based at our headquarters in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor status of scheduled deliveries to ensure on time delivery to manufacturing need date
  • Raising, placing and expediting purchase orders
  • Maintain production planning, scheduling, and inventory control system (MRP - Material Requirements Planning)
  • Act as day to day point of contact for suppliers to resolve stock and delivery issues
  • Query resolution
  • Locating and tracking tooling within the business and in the Supply Chain
  • Continually monitor, evaluate and report on the performance of suppliers
  • Ensure timely disposition and return of any non-conforming supplier material 
  • Support the procurement team Supply Chain Management team to create a more effective working environment

Person Specification

  • Highly motivated self-starter, proactive, organized, with a sense of urgency and "can do" attitude
  • Attention to detail, ability to perform detailed follow-through
  • Previous Procurement experience within a manufacturing environment is an advantage
  • Results orientated#
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to prioritise challenging workloads
