How TETRA enables mission success
With over 1000 missions carried out by the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, 100s of patients are assisted by the trust's Helicopter Evacuation & Medical Support (HEMS) and critical cars.
Devon’s geography can make getting the right emergency treatment to patients complicated especially in such rural areas where it could simply take too long to reach a patient by a land ambulance. There are also times when a medical team need to be delivered to a scene quickly and then transported with the patient to the best hospital for their ongoing care. None of this would be possible without effective communications.
We caught up with the Operations Manager for the DAAT to find out how they use Chelton’s TETRA services to communicate with each other and other public safety officials and how the critical communications enable mission success.
